We had a scary end to our vacation here in Ohio that brought my husband to this hospital. Turns out he suffered a heart attack. Luckily the staff here were wonderful! They caught it in time and took all the steps needed to properly diagnose him and figure out a treatment plan. The hospital itself was very clean! All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The doctors were knowledgeable and great with explaining everything to us! Extremely grateful for everything this hospital did for my family and husband! So thankful the kids and I were able to go home with our loved one!!!

I am leaving this review strictly for one of your nurses! Megan M. Dudley was so kind and caring when she greeted me to get my blood drawn. I’ve always been a bit queasy when it comes to needles, but she was able to get my blood drawn within 10 seconds with no pain at all. The best experience I have ever had getting my blood drawn! She is amazing!

My father broke several ribs after falling off a ladder. He was in Genesis for a week. The entire staff was incredibly patient, compassionate, and knowledgeable. There is no doubt that Dr. Stuart J. Chow and his trauma team are the reason my father is still alive today. Thank you for all you do! We will never be able to express how grateful we are for all the nurses, doctors, technicians, therapists, and everyone that helped him become whole again.

Janet Householder and her team in the emergency department was so amazing my visit April 22nd. I’ve had swelling in my back and neck. The steroid shot was exactly what I needed when over the counter anti inflammatory was helping. I appreciate everyone’s time and effort to get my needs met. Thank you.
I also was able to receive my results easily. Also much appreciated radiology team. Thank you.

They are so attentive to an elderly patient whom can’t speak but one word answers. She can’t feed herself, or get a drink of water. This staff have been wonderful communicating, feeding, and changing her. I can be at peace with my mother in law in their hands for the weekend. She has MS with so much better care here than at the nursing home which didn’t give her drinks of water. She was shaking hands at deaths door! Thank you awesome staff on 3W.

I’m a 37yr old type 1 diabetic with horrible asthma, and allergies. I have been having problems with my breathing for months. Basically relying on the little bit of relief from my inhaler. Well, the last couple days it feels like my inhaler was not helping. I woke up barely able to catch my breath. It was a very scary experience. I had so much anxiety from not being able to take a normal breath I felt as if I may pass out. The hospital took amazing care of me. I was rushed back to a room immediately. I was given a heart test, an X-ray, and breathing treatments immediately.They also sent me a referral to see a lung specialist. I’m convinced if I didn’t get the treatment when I did I would have been close to passing away or passing completely out. I’m so grateful for their immediate care and their kindness while helping me in such a stressful moment. I’m grateful for the staff and the kind doctor on duty for helping me in such a desperate time. I came in at about 7am. I wish I could remember their names. I want to give my thanks and appreciation.

I had surgery on Jan 22,2024 and I want to say that I was treated so nice by all!! From the check in at 530 am desk lady to the entire staff!! There is always so much negativity around our hospital but my treatment was top !! Thank you to Randy who checked me in and Jaylynn my nurse and Julia .. my OR team Debbie , Michelle and Anne and Dr Sam and Dr Perick were awesome!! And Jessica who dismissed me!! Thank you all for your care and top notch treatment!!

I brought my 22year old daughter Emily, who has Down Syndrome and has limited verbal communication, to the ER because she seemed to be having trouble breathing. She ended up having double pneumonia in both lungs and her oxygen was dangerously low. Her lungs were barely moving. If it had not been for the rapid response of the CCU critical care team, she probably would not have survived the night. Emily ended up spending a total of 10 and a 1/2 weeks in the CCU where she was cared for, treated with respect and greatly loved by the doctors, nurses, technicians, therapists, caseworkers and chaplains. At one point her kidneys went into failure and if weren’t for the knowledgeable staff in radiology, we would have lost her. All of these wonderful professionals are the reason my daughter is alive today and now finishing her recovery at home. I am forever in their debt, not only for what they did for my daughter but also for how they treated my husband and I. They gave us so much support. It was a terrifying experience for our family but in the process we met and befriended many caring people that I now consider family. Thank you Dr. Greer, Dr. Danny, Dr. Alemayehu, Dr. AlGhamdi, CCU nurses Andi, Heather, Jillian, Amber, Kari, Riley, Montana, Zac, Krista, Kari, Nicole, Judy, Paige, Kayte, Kristin, Kim, Taylor, Cameron, Eli, Brenda, Ashley, Channey, Joe, Dasia, Britney and Mackenzie and to the techs Joanna, Ben, Mackenzie, Sally, Kim and Sam, pastors Bill and Rob, caseworker Brandy, facilities maintenance, Bobbie, numerous other staff whose names I can’t remember, and the greatest physical therapist ever, Carlos!! Thank God for people like you. You are my heroes!!!

I live 2 hours away. I had an atv accident and was taken to this hospital. Never being here before. In the ER Trauma room, they were the most compassionate and caring people that I have ever met in a hospital. The ER Dr was absolutely outstanding! Up on the floor, the staff that cared for was awesome! The testing areas staff, like in mri, cat scan, xray, were very compassionate towards me, well as kind, caring, tentative, and very, very careful with injuries while moving me around. All of them chatted with me like real caring, compassionate people who actually loved their jobs, well as caring for people. I may not remember everything that was said to me, but I will never forget how great I felt being there. Thank you Genesis!!!

My husband went to the ER and he immediately had a dozen people helping him and taking samples and tests. Everyone was there to help him. He was admitted to the medical floor and again, everyone was very efficient and kind. They went beyond my expectations to help me anytime I needed anything. The private room was so nice and even had a shower. I would definitely choose Genesis if we need a hospital again. The only downside was the food service would call my room and I was offered a choice of one of two entrees. Not much of a selection.

Our adopted son was born here in 2016. It was an amazing experience! From our first showing up, with no warning, just stopping in to see the facilities, we were greeted warmly and invited In by the staff. At the time we didn’t know if our son would be born there or in Columbus. But the staff didn’t miss a beat, gave us a tour of the facilities and talked to us about what to expect on the day.
In the end our birth mother chose this facility, and the experience was wonderful. The hospital was particularly respectful of the adoption process, incredibly sensitive to all of us involved, and helped facilitate an already healthy relationship we had with the birth family.
We all got to participate in the process, and with our birth mother’s blessing, the hospital, without any issue, made the experience just beautiful. We couldn’t have been more thankful then, and looking back, our son now 4, going on 5, I couldn’t be more thankful now.

My husband, Rev. Dr. Herbert R. Hicks, was admitted with RUQ pain which turned out to be a stone blocking his bile duct. He developed sepsis from it. During the procedure to remove the stone his heart went into atrial fibrillation. During his thirteen day stay he was treated with the utter most professional care by the technicians, nurses and many doctors who addressed all his complications.
I feel so fortunate that we have a hospital of this quality in our community.

Sheridan was awesome just to throw a name out she went above and beyond helping us she went and bought toys and dressed up my grand daughters crib she cane in and held her.she treated us like family and is a valuable asset to genesis we were treated like family the pediatric nurses all rocked this isn't a easyy

As of today I am inpatient. I have to say what a wonderful experience this has been with Genesis. They have cared so well for me, right from the start in the emergency room to admitting. Very kind and helpful people whom have made a frightening experience much better. I feel so grateful and blessed to have such a good hospital near us.

I had a hernia repair by Dr. Thomas Diehl in the OR January 2022. . With the exception of a scheduling snafu (which Dr. Diehl corrected on the fly), my entire experience was positive. His bedside manner, compassion, and genuine concern is exceptional! The OR Nursing and Medical staff were reassuring, pleasant, and comforting during the entire process. Their sincere concern made me feel as relaxed as possible, for a major (to me) surgical procedure. I highly commend and am thankful to the entire Genesis Surgical Department! This overwhelming positive experience sets the tone for optimal post op recovery. Thank you all!

I was admitted to Genesis over a year ago after a fall. I was kept overnight in ICU. I received the most amazing care ever from everyone! The ER, nurses, doctors, technicians. I would not hesitate to go there again if I lived in the area.

Poor service in emergency room for me today....didn'ti care that I was in pain.....waited 2+ hours for pain meds for them to give me Tylenol!!!! They need to get staff organized and show concern for patients.
My first post above was from a while ago....but this review is for 4/8/19.. my daughter had excellent care while there...she had a turn off events then planned....the nurse "Diana" was awesome on the delivery floor ..also "Michelle" anesthesiologist was awesome with my daughter before and during her C-section.....and Dr Richie was excellent!!! I just want to give all these wonderful people a special thanks!! ❤❤
Was in ER yesterday for high blood pressure and diverticulitis...the nurse Halley was awesome! And everyone else was great!

I was there to have double knee surgery the care I received was excellent surgery everything the nurses the doctors took very very good care of me I have since then over the years been there several times for minor surgeries and recently for a more serious surgery and I will always and have always highly recommended them in every way shape and manner. We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful hospital in our area

I went to the emergency room at 4 AM on a Sunday with severe, unrelenting abdominal pain. I was back in a room in what seemed like no time at all. The nurse practitioner (Kayla Jordan, if I remember correctly) assessed me initially to rule out typical causes on abdominal pain (your typical gastrointestinal issues). When those issues were ruled out, the physician (Dr. Bomsta) examined me and found that I had acute pain in a very low area of my right lower quadrant. He had to press in just the right place. He sent me for a CT scan, which showed acute appendicitis. The on call surgeon, Dr. Chow, was called immediately, and I was taken to a room in the surgical unit right away. The care in the Emergency Department was fantastic. The listened to me and did everything by the book. Dr. Chow met with me later that morning, laid out my options, and ultimately scheduled me for surgery. I ended up going for a laparoscopic appendectomy ahead of schedule, and I made it through in short order with no complications. My pain was well controlled (with minimal narcotics, I might add) and nursing care was excellent as well. I stayed overnight and left the following afternoon with clear instructions and a follow-up appointment. I can't give enough accolades to the team that took care of me. I don't have a single complaint. As far as acute appendicitis goes, this was a top-notch experience. Great job!
